The 1770/Agnes Water region is a fast growing and popular destination on coastal Queensland. With an estimated population growth of six percent, declining water reserves and an extended dry period, local water and wastewater infrastructure has been under increasing pressure.

The project comprises a desalination plant and a sewer mining treatment plant to be delivered under a long term DBO contract and will be implemented modularly to keep pace with the region’s development and growth.

Peron has provided project leadership and direction, project management of the procurement process which included a competitive tender, commercial advice, development of a financial contract, coordination and management of all technical and legal advisers, and the reporting and monitoring of all project deliverables.
