Townsville City Council is implementing a water supply upgrade project to meet the long term needs of the Townsville and Thuringowa communities to deliver mandated improvements to water quality standards and increase the reliability of supply.
This project includes both a capital component and an ongoing operations and maintenance component. The capital component involves the design and construction of two new 40 Ml/d water treatment plants, the upgrade of an existing 240 Ml/d water treatment plant, a pipeline and pump station, and the construction of a new water stabilisation facility.
Peron has provided project leadership and direction, project management of the procurement process which included a competitive tender, commercial advice, development of a financial contract, coordination and management of all technical and legal advisers, and the reporting and monitoring of all project deliverables.
