Wagga Sewer 2010

Western Corridor Recycled Water :: Wagga Sewer 2010 :: 1770/Agnes Water Integrated Water Project :: Townsville Water Supply Upgrade Project :: Abu Dhabi City Water and Storm Water Management :: Wagga Waste Management and Recycling :: Tarcutta Street Gas Works Remediation

The project: The augmentation/upgrade of two sewage treatment plants and associated works.
Client: Wagga Wagga City Council
Project value: A$100 million
Our role: Transaction Manager and Project Director support
Timeframe: 2005-2010

Having not undertaken a project of this size before, the Wagga Wagga City Council was eager to appoint a firm with the experience to manage the task. After successfully tendering for the project, The Peron Group’s role has been to develop infrastructure strategy, commercial principles, and procurement strategy.

Components of the project comprise the augmentation/upgrade of two sewage treatment plants and the integration of a third plant all procured via a DBO contract, as well as the duplication of the Murrumbidgee River pipeline crossing and augmentation of the Glenfield pump station under a D&C contract. This was all achieved within time and funding constraints of Council, and with pricing certainty in an overheated infrastructure market.
